I shot down to GM to look around and see what they had for ammo. I found one Federal bulk pack at $19 and picked up a couple of boxes of CCI Velocitor since Wal-Mart never seems to get them in her in Stafford. They also had a "hot deal" on Federal Spitfire ammo @ $3.49 a box of 50. Specs look good, 31gr HP @1500fps! I bought 10 boxes to give them a try. Anyone used them before in their 15-22? They had one 15-22 on the rack with SN DTB, non birdcage model, for $499 when they're at the shows here for $419.

I think so also, especially since my rifle digested the subsonics without and issue. I can only shoot indoor at 25m right now, so it would be limited to a cursory review.

90% just want to know if they will run... not group sizes... if they run they run thats about all i ask from a trainer lol:D

I bought a couple boxes of the Spitfires ... no real issues, about the same as CCI Minimag. Better than the Winchester 333's I ran before, not as good as the Federal 40GN RN I'm running now. Could be the rifle breaking in too...

heavier bullets tend to give more back pressure cylcling the bolt harder making it more reliable.. but they may be hot enough to over come the lite bullet

i've put about 200 rounds of the spitfire through mine and it runs fine. 300 more to go.
