Had a City resident call the PD and said he found a hand grenade in the rafters in the basement. Turned out to be a live one. EOD from a military base was called and they came up, removed the grenade, and took it with them for disposal.

Yea, EOD guy unscrewed the fuse, dumped the charge, went out away from everything ,pulled the pin and threw fuse. Once fuse went off he picked it up, recocked igniter hammer, set spoon and replaced pin. He them had a several $100 display piece.

When I moved into my first house many years ago the previous owners left their door stop. Still a good door stop today.
