Gators found eating a corpse in Florida

The alligators were just doing what alligators have been doing for thousands of years.

I don't like lizards, especially big ones.

Gators don't like people, either...except for dinner.

They supposedly now have Nile crocodiles down there, too. I expect they'll attack some people. On the whole, they're more aggressive than alligators. The small number of American crocs don't seem too active there, although in tropical America, I think they kill some people.

The American crocs are in a pretty isolated area of the state. Alligators encounter more people.

Just a few years ago a guy was noodling catfish in the lake here when a gator got him.

Like any wild animal that could eat a human follow this advice and you'll be fine:make sure to pay attention to your surroundings and keep yer head outta yer butt and you'll be fine.

Of course with how people have their faces buried in one electronic device or another.....the Fl gators and crocs are gonna be fat little buggers :D

Wasn't too long ago when a wanted fugitive from justice jumped into a gator infested swamp to avoid arrest...you can guess the rest of the story.

When I was stationed at Charleston AFB there was a catch pond behind the Piggly Wiggly in North Charleston. I caught a bass out of that pond but the water was so stagnant the fish pretty much begged me to put it out of its misery.

I spotted an alligator in the pond, about half way across so I started throwing rocks at it. The gator didn't care even when a rock bounced off his head. Then I realized that with all the rock throwing I had probably spooked any fish I might otherwise have caught so I packed up to leave.

Right before I put the rod into the truck I walked to the bank and started splashing the rod tip in the water. I guess that sounded like something struggling and the gator turned and bee-lined straight for me, dropping below the surface about 20 yards out. I don't don't know what he did after that because I was in the truck and making tracks.

Well, hopefully the cops and wildlife people had sense enough not to kill the alligators just for being alligators. I mean the person was way dead already anyway. Wasn't the gators' fault.

They'll probably kill every gator they can find in the area and dissect them.

Not to worry, There's plenty of gators around there.

I too read that they found some mid size nile crocks that they euthanized. If there are more they may cross with the smaller and non aggressive american crock.

What that cross will be like is not known. The American croc has never been documented to kill a person. Sounds like change is a coming.

I hope what the gators were chomping on was some domestic terrorist trying to dump some invasive species in the canal. I hope they ate his snakes too.

Buzzards, Gators, all the same. Where do you think road kill goes? There is no 'mystery fairy' that cleans it up.....

Not sure about where you live but El Paso County Colorado has two full time employees who's sole duty is to clean up road kill
