Is any one here going to the Garand Collectors Association convention this year? It's being held at the CMP in Anniston, AL in October.
I just received my confirmation that I made the cut. (The convention was limited to the first 200 people to sign up.)
The events for this years convention are going to include a tour of the CMP, opening crates and sorting rifles, and usual speeches, banquets, etc. This is my first convention and first trip to the CMP. I'm really looking forward to it. Just have to start saving my pennies. I hope to be able to pick a Garand straight out of the crate and take it home with me.
Just curious if anyone here was going. If so, maybe we can meet up.
