Hi folks. Thought I would post this Q&A I had with Geiselle for any of you considering the Hi-Speed National Match Triggers. Note that the response is specifically for the High Speed triggers, some of Geiselle's other triggers can use their longer pins. Needless to say, I will be buying one as soon as I can get the wife's permission.
My question
Hi. I'm thinking of buying the Hi-Speed NM - Match Trigger for use in an S&W 15-22. However, I've heard some people discuss that the trigger and hammer pins may not work well in the 15-22 since the polymer receiver is thicker than a typical AR receiver (and thus the pins need to be longer). Do you know whether this trigger will work in a 15-22 "as is" or whether there is anything I can do (e.g., use different pins) to make it work? Thanks!
Geiselle's Response
Good Morning,
Thank you for contacting us. Your HS trigger will work “as is” in your 15-22. The pins however, will not be flush with the outside of the receiver but it will still be safe to operate. Unfortunately we do not have longer pins for the HS triggers as they require different pins than the longer ones we have due to the grooves in the pins that connect with a c-clip inside the pivot in the hammer to ensure that the pin does not walk out of the receiver. I hope this helps clarify.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
