Genuine or imitation stags on this 18-2?

Are these imitation or genuine stag grips on this 18-2 I just bought?
I won't know until It arrives. Advertised as imitation, but they look real to me.
What do you think?

They look like elk to me, but I’m no expert. You will probably see a lot of pith (core). I don’t think they’re Sambar Stag, but I’ve been wrong before.

I agree they look like Grasshorn Elk Grips to me. Very nice model 18 the grips look great on it. These are Grasshorn on model 19.
Sambar Stag is shown on the 66 and 1911.

Yes - I'm 99.9% sure they are Elk. Sambar Stag is extremely hard to get now days and very expensive if you can. Sambar Stag has much different coloration and a completely different look.

I don't consider "Grasshorn" Elk grips to be Imitation Stag ...
but what do I know ... but if they are ... Sweet Deal !
