It's cover page read as follows:

This one was entered according to an Act of Congress, in the year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Five, by Jared Sparks, In the Clerks Office of the District Court of the District of Massachusetts.
It is over 550 pages of script from Washington dealing with the War for Independance.....in his words. Letters to and from his Generals, family, friends, Congress, supporters, and detractors. It starts in July of 1777 and continues to April 14th 1778.....
It is still in the original binding...
I gifted my daugther the original printing of this book. She is a Patriot, working for our Gov't. Lives and breathes this Country's history.
Evidently someone else has decided that the book needed to be online, for all to read...
