The Gerber "Sportsman's Steel" was a slow seller so the owner sold it to me for next to nothing. I could never see using it to attempt to sharpen a good knife. It's been used, abused, dropped, stepped on, beat up, beat down and it always came through. One tough knife. The only reason I stopped carrying it was I got hooked on those fast opening knives with the pocket clips.
