New member to Smith and Wesson Forum today. I inherited/purchased a older Model 41 from a friend who introduced my to shooting late in 1997. Been hooked ever since. After years of hearing but not being able to shoot this model he decided to sell me the gun rather than leave to in-laws. He hasn't shot the pistol in at least 15 years due to vision issues. It looks and shoots as if new. Serial number is A597,567. Does anyone know what year it was manufactured? He can't quite remember the year exactly he bought it new. Thinks for sure was pre 70's.
