Getting married....Again

My aunt and uncle who live four blocks from me were lucky enough to have an anniversary party before the lockdown started. I was at the wedding when they got married on January 30, 1960. So we were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. I am one of four surviving guests that I know of.

My aunt and uncle aren't too much older than me, and we have been very close for decades. When it came time for the speeches, I got up to talk about how wonderful it was that they had been married for 60 years. I am an old bachelor, and I told the group that if I got married the day after the party I would have to make it to 127 years old to match what my aunt and uncle did.

When I was about 30 I met a fellow that was around 50 and about to get married for the 5th time.

Most times I'm just as surprised as everyone else with what comes out of my mouth, this was no exception.

I looked him straight in the eye and said, "Damn Fellow, Sounds Like You Enjoy Getting Married A Lot More Than Being Married!"

Well, I've since added 30 more years and 3 divorces to my life.

I never would have believed it possible...

Congratulations To You And Your Bride!
