Getting Older

Am positively thinking of the benefits.

1.No need to trade in old books, after couple weeks ya forgot what they were about.

2.Can't remember, but must have been a saint when younger.

3.If you still drink, drink limits no longer matter cause you can't remember how many you had.

4. Sorry officer, don't remember any stop sign.

The Wonder Years:

"I wonder why I'm in this room?"

"I wonder what room this is?"

"I wonder where my car keys are?"

"I wonder where my car is?"

"I wonder what I am supposed to be doing?"

"I wonder who I am?"

I think that I'll yell at those clouds.

One of the tricks passed to me from an older friend regarding doors or rooms. If you find yourself wondering why your in a room, etc. Go back to the last room you were in or the last doorway before you got where you are. It does work, not joking. Portals or doorways are just that...I look at death that way, another doorway to another adventure...if it doesn't work out it won't matter anyway...nothing else makes better sense. It also explains all those "I've been here before" scenarios and even biblically with the old saw about the "sins of the father, etc."

It has been my opinion that the infirmities we suffer as a result of aging, disease, and accident and other losses we suffer are the Lord's way of preparing us for moving on and to both appreciate the prospect and be glad for it and welcome it! The older I get the more I am convinced that this is correct.
