A while back on another gun board someone started a thread featuring so-called glamour shots. Use mirrors and decorative props etc.

I have looked around in here and didn't find anything too similar. there are lots of excellent gun pics but I thought I'd throw this'n up here and see if anyone had anything like this.

Well....do ya? :D

I don't know that I would go so far as to call ol' Dave "glamorous," but he sure 'nuff does some of the best photography I've seen anywhere. Maybe instead of "glamorous" we could go with "artistic."

So that's really only one 1911 enhanced with trick photography......RIGHT?

You're just too new here. There are plenty of threads of great gun pics with nice surroundings. Many with food, also. I find it hard not to call Doc44's albums "glamor shots", and all they have is the gun, but man, what guns!

Well me bein' a native Texican and all I am embarrassed to admit that I ain't too sure what a "BBQ gun" is. Somebody care to show me an example? Thanks.

Guess you never saw him wearing his Boa!:D

Yeah I have loved looking at the albums etc and The gun pics on here are better than any other site I've ever seen. But when the guy on that other place started using mirrors to get the special effects it blew me away. Mine are not that good but his were super good. I was wanting to see if any one in here had done the "smoke and mirror" thing.

You saw 4 fine examples a few post up.
It would be a gun you wear to a get together over chared mammal flesh.
The pistolas would be gussied up a bit with fancy grips & leather and sometimes the guns are scratched up a little.

My Son kept after me...Dad I really do need a engraved revolver...

Guess you never saw him wearing his Boa!:D

This'n may not be artistic, but all of the items in it have considerable meaning to me.

My Pappy's spurs and belt buckle. Birthday hat for my 21st birthday from my folks, fancy rig from Dave Keith, and grips from Dave M. Tom Braxton got me hooked up with the Model 27.

Lots of memories there.:)

As you can see by some of the pictures I believe the definition would be Western Culture Bling.:) Your going into town/party/BBQ, Sunday Best with some fine leather work of course. I am not sure but I think only revolvers are eligible, Nickle seems to be the best, especially with engraving. There are lots of threads with pictures that you will not believe.:D

Damn, Dave and others, when you all get to shown your fancy sidearms, it always seems to end up costin' me money. Thanks for showing them anyway. All my very best ,Joe

Oh boy! I can't even hope to finish second money with this crowd!!:)

After seeing Dave 1911's, not to mention all of his other beauties, I decided it was best just to hang up my spurs and call it a night.

I gotta admit, some of those are to die for!!

I do not have the talent of some of my friends here, nor nearly as fancy a shootin' irons. I truly do appreciate everyone sharing!

David, have you shown that scratched up 1911 before? That one made me drool a bit.....it's even got a safety lever on the appropriate side!
