Nice shooting Klyde. That 12 x 18 is the smallest shillouette target I have seen.
I prefer steel pistols, but realize that is not performance driven.

I originally bought the Glock 19X because I was in love with the color and was the one Glock I thought I would love. However, after taking it to the range today equipped with an Overwatch Precision Flat Trigger, Safety plunger, and their connector, trigger pull was 4.5lbs and believed I was going to kick butt on the range.

Well at 35ft, I was dismayed even with careful aim, accuracy was good but not great. My MP 2.0 Compact as boring as that gun is, it is way more shootable, shoots flatter, way more accurate, can dot out the center of the bulls eye, etc..

Maybe you should try adding 10 or 12 MORE aftermarket things, and then see how it is.

My Glock 43X is for self defense. Can I print 2” holes at 15 yards? Nope…Do I care, Nope.

What it can do is ring an 8” steel target at that range and further with boring regularity and quick follow up shots. If I do battle with someone with a smaller center mass, guess I’m in trouble. All kidding aside, two things in a self defense scenario matter to me.

1) Can I hit center mass in a hurry if I have to from 15 yards give or take a couple?

2) If the bad guy is further away than that, my plan is trying to get away and avoid the gunfight altogether. The FBI says the average confrontation is about 7 yards, I double my practice range for added safety.

had my 19x for over almost 2 years, bone stock besides the night sights, shoots flat and is very accurate in comparison to all my other nines.

No issues with accuracy whatsoever. It shoots very well, better than I ever will

I don't know which pistols you own but I can tell you for a fact the CZ P10C shoots a lot flatter, the Smith and Wesson MP 2.0 shoots a lot flatter than a Glock, and the Walther PPQ may have the highest bore axes but it shoots much faster than any Glock period.

Glock accuracy is just OK nothing to write home about. The Sig X5 Legion with grayguns trigger will do circles around a Glock and propbably many others in its class

Glock pistols are dependable and they work and are combat accurate

nah i think I will pass. The Glock trigger has a rolling break and it will never be as crisp as a MP 2.0 or P226 SAO legion. I know it's not a fair comparison but a Glock is like the Chevy of guns. The only Glock I shoot well with is my Glock 30 with the same overwatch precision trigger. Maybe I need to try and use the large backstrap to simulate the G30 frame. I am currently using no backstrap and that could be the problem.

I think the reason I shoot the MP 2.0 better is lower bore axis and a super crisp trigger.

My 19x is quite accurate. Getting used to holding the 2x4 grip was a little challenging but I’ve been spoiled by my HKs.

These are not precision target pistols. They are defensive/combat pistols and as such, are not likely to provide 1 inch groups at 25 yards. Also, shooting by hand, from an unsupported position, does not wring out the accuracy potential of the firearm. To fully understand the accuracy potential you need to shoot from a seated and well braced position or use a Ransom Rest to test the pistol.

A Gold Cup in 9mm, set up to run your choice of ammo, is the best solution for accuracy.
As far as lotsa ammo in your hand when needed... buy and carry two.
I rarely carry a 9mm unless I'm fishing....the M59 covers that.

Years ago I was impressed by the accuracy of my boy's new G36.
We loaded some XTPs and at 25yds it was fine for it's intended purpose.

35 ft. isn't an appropriate distance to test for accuracy in a full size handgun. When testing for accuracy anything under 25 yards tells me nothing unless it is a subcompact.

Regarding shooting flatter, I think the OP is talking about the pistol's recoil impulse, not the bullet's trajectory.

As for the original issue, I'll just quote this bit of still unanswered wisdom here.

What makes you think that standing up shooting at 35ft is an accuracy test of the gun instead of yourself?

My experience with Glocks is that the trigger has a unique feel/break to it, and you really need good fundamentals and practice to shoot well with them. I carry a 19, and a have several other Glocks, and they shoot very accurately if I do my part.

I’ll never forget my first experience shooting a Glock. I was doing okay with it, but was certainly not nailing tight groups. I swore the gun just wasn’t grouping well. I had always shot my revolvers and 1911s very well... So, I had a guy at the range shoot it to test it out. He was a real Glock guy, and good shooter. Yup, sure enough, he drills 15 rounds into a ragged hole, bullseye, at 15 yards.

So, I worked on my grip, really focused on isolating my trigger finger, and learned that Glock trigger. I shoot them well now.

IMO, other guns, like 1911s can be easier to shoot accurately, despite not having the best shooting skills. But, I find Glocks to be excellent carry guns because they 100% reliable, accurate, and very good size/round capacity combo.

So, are Glocks accurate, yes. Are other guns easier for me to shoot, yes. They don’t call them shooting skills for nothing! . YMMV

The Glock trigger is radically different from many other firearm platforms and needs some getting used to. My son gave me a LWD ported barrel for Christmas a few years ago so that LRN reloads would be more accurate but my Glock 19/4 shoots as well with FMJ.

My MP 2.0 is not match grade but shoots ten times better
