Impulse buy. Sold a couple Glocks recently to clear out safe space for more Smiths. Took a step backward today, buying this apparently unfired Glock 35 (.40) with box, mags, fiber optic sights. My friends at Carolina Sporting Arms made a deal to refuse good to refuse.

I plan to swap the .40 barrel for a KKM .357 Sig conversion barrel. Long slide Glocks are a pleasure to shoot. The .357 Sig conversion and my Glock Model 40 in 10mm are good hiking guns. Carried in Hill People Gear chest pack.

I have a factory threaded barrel for mine, plus a Lone Wolf threaded .357SIG barrel with a comp. I typically shoot 180gr .40s with an Osprey 45 suppressor; .40 is a great subsonic round as long as you stay with the 180s. I do have to go with a lighter recoil spring with the .357, especially shooting light bullets.

I’ve been using a Gen 3 G35 with a 357 SIG conversion for years. I especially like it out in the country - very flat shooting and great for varmints and predators like coyotes and foxes. I’d say that about 90% of the ammo I shoot in that gun is 357 SIG. I like it much better than the 40 S&W.

Which conversion barrel? There are a few manufacturers. KKM gets the best reviews but there are several options.

Lone wolf

I have the lone wolf threaded barrel for mine, for both .40 and .357 sig. I don't have a suppressor to throw on yet, but it's a blast to shoot with either barrel. I need to get out and shoot it more.
