I took the leap and purchased a Glock 43X. I love the way it fits my hands (extra width and length). A near perfect fit for me. I would like to upgrade the sights and slide plate, and guide rod. Does anyone know if these parts are the same as the Glock 43?

I *believe* the sights are the same for the 43 and 43X.

Depending on the company/brand of sights you are considering Id advice sending them an email/calling up and asking.

When I was looking to purchase from TruGlo I emailed them and they sent me a complete list of all sights that would fit my gun (was a 1911 at the time).

Most companies are generally pretty helpful!

The G43X is simply the G43 with an extended, and widened grip to house a 10 round magazine (to compete with the SIG P365). All other dimensions and associated parts are identical. So yes, they both share the same sights and slide cover plate.

Whether you end up buying from them, or find better prices elsewhere... check out Glockstore.com to see (almost) everything available for the 43 & 43X.
Glockstore has a load of DIY videos too.

Glock on a Diet

I too am intrigued with the new Glock 43X 9mm.
Slimline (just a hair over an inch wide).

Our Indoor Range has one you can rent.

Started reading anything and everything I could on
the Web.

Found out a couple of things;
It was produced to be Slimline (which I like).
X = Extra rounds then old compact 43.
Grip fits my hand/palm perfect.
Very Very Accurate at 10yds (once you get use to
to the Trigger Pull).
A total Black Finish one is Cool, but 2 Tone is Ok.
(not a Deal Breaker).
Magazine Lips rough/chewed up from Rentals,
Glock just kept shooting, zero problems.
I Qualify for Glock Discount.
9mm 50rds is inexpensive.

Cons;
Empty Shells hit me in the Fore Head quite a few times
(ricocheted down from Shoot Lane).
After 50 rounds, Trigger Finger felt like I was going
to get a blister.
Had to get use to the 2 Stage Trigger or Group was
6" low on target.

I think I will evenly get one, but will be patient for now.

It is the first Glock I have ever fired. I'm glad I Rented it
and tested it out. I like!

Yes everything is cross compatible. I purchased both the 43X and the 48. I let the 43X go and kept the 48. If you decide you need a right hand Kramer horsehide pancake holster let me know as I was going to list it for sale.

I was looking at one in a LGS today. I'm liking it more the more I look at them. The clerk was telling me someone is making all steel mags that hold a bunch more rounds in the same length. Supposedly giving you G19 capacity in the thinner 43X. That sounds interesting if they are reliable.

Your third point is the most important - That it fits your hand well . ( Unless deliberately making trade offs for pocket carry ) that is the key to shooting well . As far as belt carry , the slimmer butt makes concealment more comfortable , and spare mags much easier to conceal/ camouflage .

If you haven't guessed , I really like full length single stack 9mms .

Unless you are a 1911 purist , you will become reasonably accustomed to the Glock trigger with a cpl hundred rounds . If you are an experienced DA revolver shooter, a NY-1 connector will make the trigger pull more familiar to you .

Black Tie

There's a New Fit Glock 43X 9mm in town.

I see Glock announced it will start Distribution
of a Black Slide 43X 9mm.

I think the Silver or the Black Slide are Neat,
now there is a choice, for now.
