Yes, it does work.
I can get Glock front sights for $25 installed so I tried moving my night sight from my G36 to my SW99 .45 and it works. There is a caveat. The front sight hole on the SW99's a good bit larger in length so the front sight can be turned just slightly. I think I took care of that problem by using loctite and cranking the screw down. My favorite sight picture is the traditional Glock pic with the front dot & rear U so I had picked up a rear U from Earl's. So now I have my favorite sight picture with a front night sight.
Now I have to take my G36 back to Glock to get a new front night sight, but luckily I live close enough to them.
