Jimmyj, I shoot a Gen 4 with a variety of factory 180 grain loads with terrific accuracy.

I have been carrying a 23 (gen 3 at first) since Y2K, and have probably never shot any round that wasn’t 180 grain in that caliber.

Maybe it’s a difference in the recoil impulse that makes one better for you than the other.

Sometimes it is just the gun. I will say this, my agency has issued Glock 23s since the 90s and we use only 165 grain ammo. We have sent several new hires through the academy who have come back awards and many of us have 100% scores on qualification days.

Im a Glock fan .. I really like the 40 S&W ... So I own two Glock 23 pistols
Both Gen 3 .... And a Glock 27 is my EDC ... I only run 180gr in all of'em

I've been carrying a Gen 3 Glock 23 for around 15 years. I shoot 180 grain ammo exclusively and it's dead on accurate if I do my part.
