With all weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth over NIL, the college game being ruined, etc. we have an excellent game among two traditional football powerhouses with top-notch academics.

THE Ohio State University football team would have made my Mom proud. She attended most of the home games while Dad studied for his PhD and taught there concurrently. I always felt sorry for the guy who sat in front of her at the games. That guy would go home with sore shoulders from Mom pounding on them, not to mention his ears from Mom screaming behind him.

My granddaughter, the doctor, is halfway through her post-doc, post-residency fellowship at THE Ohio State University med school hospital. I know she's happy as well.
I feel sorry for OSU coach Ryan Day, though. He'll be the first coach to be fired after winning a national championship. Why fire him? He can't beat Michigan, which at OSU is far more important than winning a national championship.

My two favorite teams are Georgia and whoever's playing Ohio State.
As an Oregon boy I am a Duck fan. That means I don't like any WA or CA teams, off the bat. But, if we go national, I hate Alabama and Ohio State. Everybody else is cool, but those two are on my naughty list. There's a scenario where the Ducks could beat both to win a natty, but I don't think it will happen. If we get by Texas Tech, we'll most likely get Indiana after they beat Bama. That could be difficult, to say the least. But beating the #1 and #2 teams to win a championship would be epic!

The top 4 teams (that had the 'bye' weeks), 3 of them were upset. So did having 'bye' weeks hurt them.
I think last year the bye teams went 0-4. Rust can appear quickly.
Looks Like georgia players will be watching the playoffs from the nose bleeds seats in Atlanta. Then again with NIL and an over paid georgia team they should be able to afford at least bleeds.
