A while back I was fortunate enough to get in touch with scout II (Dave) after finding he'd sold a beautiful pre-28 Highway Patrolman to another member. I contacted scout II and enquired if he had any others available. I was particularly looking to scratch an itch for a birth year Highway Patrolman. Dave was good enough to send me multiple pictures of three HPs from 1954 that he was thinking of selling. His asking price was more than reasonable and he was willing to hold a gun for me until the funds were available.
Roy confirmed the HP was shipped during August of 1954, and considering its age, its nearly pristine! There is very little wear on the finish, the numbered grips are in excellent condition and the gun's timing and lockup are spot on. A real throwback to when Smiths were literally handmade built and assembled. Thanks Dave!
