Going to be kicking myself for awhile!!

I am quite sure there are lots of learning experiences on this website. I have a few, also. It's all part of it. Enjoy it while you can.

Great gun at great price even with the (very VERY minor) scratch. I would be inclined to do the cold blue touch-up. Might try with the pen as previously suggested, or the standard small bottle of Birchwood Casey cold blue which for me left the surrounding original untouched. I had good luck with this touching up the barrel of a much worn highway patrolman awhile back: http://smith-wessonforum.com/s-w-hand-ejectors-1896-1961/157557-1955-highway-patrolman-project.html . But hey no guarantees: It does involve carding with 4-O steel wool so you may want to experiment on something else first.

I wouldnt worry about that,,, its a very nice shooter,,, enjoy...if it was mint,, you wouldnt want to shoot it,,,

What a shame. Now you should just pass it on for a parts gun. Tell you what, I'll be a good guy and give you what you have in it. Please, please!!
Well, the gun's ruined now. I'll take it off your hands for, say, $325? :)
Gentlemen, gentlemen. I believe I have dibs on the gun (Post #9) unless he comes to his senses and decides to enjoy the heck out of the gun and not worry about a little scratch...

:p:p

I think I will keep it and shoot the heck out of it!! Funny thing is only one other person responded to the for sale add.
