I hooked up with a buddy and we got in some range time in advance of my LEOSA qualification. I put 50 rounds through the Glock 19 and was pleased with the results. The mandatory part done, out came the 2.5 inch model 66. I forgot what a joy that was to shoot. Had some older +P+ rounds and beside the flamethrower appearance, they were a hoot to shoot. There was a young off duty copper in the next lane and he had never shot a revolver. 12 rounds later, he was a believer. He let me run 5 rounds through he S&W Shield Plus equipped with a very small RMR. We both tried something new and appreciated the experience. All in all. a great day.

I did my LEOSA with a Glock 19 too.

The Police Department I retired from stopped issuing revolvers 35+ years ago. But a "Grandfather Clause" allowed Officers who were issued a revolver when they started to continue to carry them until they retire.

I started with a Model 10 HB and when I was promoted to Sergeant, the Armorer gave me a 64 with an amazing trigger. When I was an officer, he wouldn't talk to me, as a fellow sergeant, he treated me very well. I purchased it when we moved to Glock 17s. I also bought the Glock 17 when we moved to the Glock 22. Off duty, a nickel model 36 as the 60s were scarce as honest politicians.

Took my 442 Pro to our department range yesterday and ran a box of 130 grain FMJ from 10 yards. Everything hit center mass and found the factory trigger to be very smooth. Today I trimmed some bushes around the house leaving my left hand (southpaw) a bit sore.
