I found this a good, and honest explanation.
As the writer himself said- he's buying too.
Israel/ Hamas war was not mentioned, and don't know if that affects this also as of now. ( as Ukraine war is)
If so- just another added stress on system.

The very last paragraph sums it up. I don't find this to be written to DRIVE a panic, or for someone to sell ammo.
