Knew my neighbor is a CCW guy too so we got to talking about Ian and naturally it went to guns pretty quick. He's a 9 mm guy and after I mentioned I carry LWCommander he said his brother ( another gun guy) gave him 150 rds of 45 ACP, did I want it? Well is a frog water proof! I traded him 150 rds of assorted 9 mm for OLDER 100 rd white box Win. ball and a supposedly 50 rnds of Fed ball. Got home and opened the Fed. box and there's 48 rnds of factory JHP!!! Happy as a pig in slop. White box is going to range next week.

Wow. I would make that trade all day long.

My older neighbor across the street had some knee and shoulder surgery last year and no longer hunts. My son when he is home for deer season always goes over to shoot the breeze and talk about military service (my son the Marines and he was Army) and hunting. Last year was the first year we had trouble finding slugs for the shotgun, so he gave my son a cardboard box full of assorted shotgun ammo - most of which were slugs! Now we are set for years and years of hunting. Cost - free provided our neighbor gets a backstrap and some meat.

Deals are awesome with neighbors.

A friend was moving out of town and I had found a 3/4 full box of Blazer .32 ACP in the garage. He was the only person I knew who had a gun in that caliber so I offered it to him. He was happy to get it and when we got together he handed me the remains (missing 10 rounds) of a 100 round box of Remington 185 gr. JHPs. He had no idea where he got it or why he had it.

We were both happy with the trade, but I'm buying the next time we get together.

Range report on 45 ball from trade.

Mdl.25-2, 17 and Colt Commander Custom, 20 yards. Most revolver shots were DA.

A note on the Win. white box, not very good. Seemed low powered as had FTF in Commander. Switched to my hand loads and it performed perfectly.
