I won this at a local auction last month...The price was right.

Really nice "desk drawer" condition. The only thing wrong with it that I see is the few marks on the butt where it looks like someone may have used it to tap a nail in....Other than that, a very clean K frame.

From cursory review without asking Roy on the main forum, it looks like maybe 1949-1951 delivery?

That's a nice little M&P that you acquired, and the stocks are in really good condition (except for the hammer marks!). I've got one that I picked up from a local gun shop a few years ago for $300. It's a minty nickel 6" with MOP stocks...how could I pass it up? It's from the same time period as yours (C117638 ca. 1950). Shoot it and enjoy!

You have a real tack driver there Melvin. Someone must have put up a Wanted Poster. Otherwise a fine looking post war M&P.

Thanks...I have had it a few months, but have been working so much, no chance to post the pics.

I bid on it, not expecting to win, and then I won in Largo Florida at an estate sale...I thought sub $400 was good for that clean of a gun and I picked it up personally with no shipping, which is always a plus.. I haven't taken the grips off to see if they match, but I may tonight.

I like your gun as much as mine....You stocks are sweet. The price was right too...What can you buy for $300'ish nowadays with as much history as these?
