Got A Pleasant Surprise, Not Sure What Happened

I recently purchased a NOS California Parks marked M&P 40 S&W (I pick it up tomorrow and will post pics when I get it home).

Anyway, it comes with 2 15rd mags. I wanted a few more. I bought a "new" one from CDNN that has a serial number electropenciled on it. Cheap enough, so ok. Looks good.

I also bought one off Flea Day. They only allow 10rd mags due to their policy. Ok, I bought one, figured I'd use it as a range mag.

Got it the other day. Looks like a standard (15rd) mag. Loaded it, yep, holds 15 rounds.

Obviously I didn't say anything to the seller. I don't know if it was a shipping mistake, or what the back story is.

But I'm happy, it was a pleasant surprise.

Perhaps he saw you are not in a restricted state so sent you a standard cap mag instead?

I've bought several 10 round (wink-wink-nudge-nudge) magazines off of ebay that were not as described. There is usually a clue hidden in the description.

It pays to look carefully at the pictures in the ad. There are 6906 magazines that say 19 round, but the pictures don't quite match. Apparently the rocket surgeons at eBay only look at the descriptions. Plus they probably don't know one from the other.

Why would you publicly burn a guy that did you a solid and then say you will do it again? Be prepared to be sanctioned from the auction company as well as the payment company.

I purchased a new in the package 30 round Mini-14 mag off eBay about a year or so ago. It showed up with a great buy-it-now price so I did just that. I received it very quickly and it was just what was listed, a "new in package Mini-14 mag". The seller sent me a message that he had been spanked by eBay after the fact but they just told him not to do it again. They also blocked him from receiving a positive feedback from me. They miss lots of small stuff if the description doesn't give it away.

I'm quite happy, and no, I didn't "burn a guy" as some other poster postulated.
