So I got my rifle back from J&M Gunsmithing on the southside. He had originally told me it would be done on Friday. Well got the this afternoon and despite the "Horrendous" winter storm, I decided to run down and grab my MP15. To say I was excited would be an understatement. He had to literally hack the gas block off. Once he cut it, he said the pin literally fell out. After I got home, I put on the magpul AFG and the ladder covers. Am gonna purchase the bipod and the Nikon Scope, then really enjoy the thing. Anyways, without further rabble..here are the pics:

That looks terrific! Just goes to show, even with an internet full of experts (not including myself in that category by the way) sometimes the guys who do this for a living earn their living and make our life so much easier :) now get us a range report!:D

Beautiful rifle...and dog!

Thanks on both accounts :) be amazed how many folks are terrified of the dog. I guess in a way it's just like the scary big bad rifle. In the hands of the wrong person they can be a bad thing, but for most upstanding people they are the best thing in the world. I have two and they are curled up with my 5 year old nephew as we speak. Love them both to death. Sorry to get off topic. Can't wait to try it out.

Most definitely. I know he will be getting all my business from now on. Wish I would have just used him from the start. Learned a lot about my rifle though. Wasted 170 bucks on tools tho, could have purchased my scope with that money.

BigRed....I would think about covering up my rifles serial number when I post pictures just for safety and security.
beautiful rifle and we are dog people also!!
:D

Primary Arms vs Optics Planet

So went to purchase the Nikon scope. Found it on several websites. The main two were opticsplanet.com and primaryarms.com. I noticed Optics planet was a little more expensive(20dollars), but it came with a free mount(49dollar value) and free shipping. Now keep in mind, i have been buying a decent amount of stuff lately, and primary arms name was mentioned as being a good place to buy from. So I have been buying from them. Decided before I bought the scope from optics planet, I would give primary the option to match the price. Gave em a call and explained the situation. The gentleman on the line said he would have to ask him manager. Came back on moments later and said his manager had replied with "our prices are our prices and our products are our products", sorry. I was like wow.. it wasnt so much they wouldnt price match. it was more the way the whole thing went. Anyways, figured I would share. I know there is a difference in price and I wasnt expecting the free mount and cheaper price, just that primary match optics offer. Ooohhhh well. Brownells from here on out. Below are the specs and prices. Will put up pics once they arrove
