I picked up my 39-2 that I bought here on the forum and I can't wait to shoot this gun. It's been a long time since I have had a semi auto that looks this good especially for being 40 plus years old. This one is begging for some range time.

Congrats!!
I am picking up my two "new" 39's tomorrow. Well, one is a 39 and the other is a 39-2. Both are 95%-98%. I can't wait.:p

Congradulations and it looks new. Have seen many pics of used models on the forum that look surprisingly new. Glad to see owners keeping them in great condition. Thanks for sharing.

Great finds for both of you.

I need to get mine out and start enjoying it again. It used to be one of my favorites until I started buying more Smith's

That's a gorgeous pistol. Congrats. Makes me want to strap mine on today.

I found mine complete with orig box and goodies. It had just slight wear on the rails, but didn't look fired much. I gave him the $30 I had on me to hold it, then traded my 908 for it the next day, straight up. I was pretty happy with that deal.

Congrat's, you have a fine pistol there, looks great! I'm down to one 9 mm pistol now and it's the 39-2 from 1976. Wonderful pistol, I've never had any issues with it and it will fire any ammo I feed it. Easy tear-down and re-assembly, unlike some of the plastic pistols out today. I also feel that it's the correct size for a 9 mm. I've shot many of the new CCW 9 mm pistols and they all have too small a grip to be reliable and accurate. If this is your first 39-2, you will fall in love with it. Just don't let the wife or girlfriend catch you looking at it too much or you'll make them jealous. LOL.....:D

That is a very nice early 39-2. I hope it shoots as good as it looks.
Many in that era would shoot anything without a hiccup, but some only liked ball ammo and some of that on the warm side.
One I had that liked the warm ball shot so accurately it was hard to believe.Dont forget to oil up that feed ramp. I cant wait for a range report.

Congratulations! They are great guns and you will enjoy.

Ironically, I saw an ANIB Model 39 (no dash) in the LGS today. I didn't have it removed from the display case but it looked new. Had box, papers and tools too! If I didn't already have a pre 39 and a 39-2 I'd have gotten real excited.
