I did my taxes online last Friday, 01/22, and the money was in the bank today, 7 days later, so off to the candy store I went and walked out with a spanking new, never fondled M&P40c. I'm already in love with it and haven't fired a shot. The trigger on it as nice as my (almost) broken in M&P40, and the mag with the pinky rest is just long enough for me to get all four fingers on. I'll have to learn to shoot a sub again with my pinky curled under for when I have the other mag in, but that shouldn't be a big deal. I also like that I can use the holsters I have for my full-size gun with this one as the slide is only about 1/2" shorter.

I'm going to have to stock up on ammo :D

The sub compacts are very nice. Mine is a 9c and I'm quite taken with it.
You can of course replace the floor plate on the other mag with the pinky thing if you are more comfortable with it. As I understand it they are quite cheap.

Sure enough, Brownells has them and they are cheap :) I'll place my order tomorrow. On my Glocks I didn't use them as I pocket carried it, but this one won't go in a pocket so that little bit more won't hurt.

I've read somewhere that a simple call to S&W will get you the pinky floor plate for free. Been considering it myself but am on the fence. I also like the pinky rest "feel" on my M&P9C but do appreciate teh smaller footprint of the short floor plate.
