well I am going on the S&W reputation and went ahead and bought the 40 shield that I have been saving for...I looked it over very close...now I am looking forward to the range...

if I really thought that would happen I wouldn't have bought it...could and has happened with many other guns.....thanks for your concern though....

Good choice. Shields are great firearms.
I love my .40 Shield. I have had mine for about 3 months. It's been perfect so far. No kabooms, bulging brass, or malfunctions of any kind. Easy to carry and conceal. It was even better IMO after installing the APEX Duty/Carry trigger mod. Great gun.

thanks for the posts...I got 3 extra mags for it today and a Galco IWB holster...now to find time to go to the range....can't wait...I will put a few rounds through it and check my brass and if looks good blaze away

goodluck and congrats I bet you will never have a problem... Go on the Smith And Wesson site use there recommended ammo and you will never have problems... Post some pictures of your range experience
