Its a Barska 3-9x42mm, IR Contour, it came with rings , a battery and scope covers. It has a bullet drop compensator and 7 level brightness dial. First impression is very good. It looks great and fits the gun perfectly as far as size to gun ratio goes. I don't really understand what advantage the lighted recticle has but it does look really cool in the dark. I adjusted the fast focus and its perfectly clear. I am going to the range today to sight it in and i will post a report. All this for only $72.00 including shipping. pghrich

lol. the snow didn't scare me. the 25mph wind gusts did! toured the range but there was no way i was shooting in that today. it was a bear!

Congrads, i have the same Barska scope, i got it on ebay for 79.99, Ive had it about a year, been a great scope, i like the lighted crosshairs, makes it easier for my eyes at times.

I've got this one too! TxShooter convinced me a few months ago. Sounds like a good price for you. What the heck is the 'fast focus'??? I really should have read the manual :)

Also, do either of you plan to put it on a riser? It's my first rifle/scope and I wonder if I'm suppose to put a riser under it because my face sometimes feels like I'm squishing it onto the stock!?!?!

Ideally you want your cheek "welded" to the stock to see threw the scope, But in a comfortable way tho. Most also say the scope's reticle should be even with the charging handle.
I tried all that and i couldn't do it.
My current scope isn't the best, A cheap Bushnell 3-9x40. First i tried it with just low rings and that was impossible to even see threw. Then I lined it up with low rings and a 1/2" riser and was even with the charging handle.
I was so dissatisfied with it i was gonna junk the scope and buy a new one.
I decided to give it a 3rd shot and adjustment before i invested in another $220 Nikon. I put medium rings on the 1/2" riser and moved the scope 2" rearwards past the charging handle and it works perfectly now and is as comfortable as any scope ive used.

This is what it took me to be able to use this exact scope. But the BEST thing is have the scope as low as you possibly can comfortably use it so its close as possible to the guns bore axis.

Sometimes compromise is your only answer.

what no pics... aint that like a party foul or something....allways post pics of new toys i thinks its in the rules lol:D
