Got myself a new toy

I think the grill looks great with that big winch on the front! The factory grilles look kind of dated to me. I think your whole rig looks excellent!

I have had several Jeeps. A 93 Cherokee Sport, '96 Sahara and a 2002 X. Loved them all. Never an issue with any weather situation. But. My favorite Jeep stories are the ones when I worked at TX DPS and conducted driver's license road tests. I LOVED the young folks that would come in and test and back into curbs and cones and when flunked, ask why, it's a Jeep. Yeah.

Nice! My son has a 2011 Sahara Unlimited. We added that same stereo system plus an underseat subwoofer. That head unit is a $2000 upgrade. Alpine Restyle; it's pretty nice. We did bumpers, lift, 35s, steps, and a few other ujpgrades. Looks like yours already has that and more.

That 3.6 is a reliable engine, but a bit of a dog in terms of power. The two door will probably get gone a little better than his 4 door, though.

Oops . . . after looking at my son's today, I realize the stereo isn't the same. Your screen is MUCH bigger. His is 9 inches I think. Yours must be 12ish? The Infinity system in his was already pretty decent, but the Alpine was a big improvement.

10.5" screen. I'm a knob guy so I'm still messing with the Android touch screen with all the different stuff on it. I did figure out the sound system, though. That baby cranks out the tunes. Merle Haggard sounds great!

If it was installed correctly your steering wheel controls should work. And you should be able to pair your phone to it. You may have to use a cable.

Everything works as it should. All controls on the steering wheel operate the unit - Vol +/- , Station Change , BT Phone/Pandora, etc. I'm just not a fan of touch screens. I'd rather just turn a knob and/or press a button.

A 3.6 V8? I didn't know any Wrangler of any year ever left the factory with a V8.
I love my 2001 Wrangler with the 4.0 straight 6 and automatic transmission with a hard top. I've had it since 2004. I just drive it to the gun range on weekends is about all.

LOL. Opps...nice catch. I went back and fixed it. Thanks. :D

Yeah, a V6 I think is made by Mercedes?

I had someone complement me on my "jeep" in a parking lot once. What do you do with that? It's clearly not a jeep.

That reminds me of when I took the test some (okay many) years ago. I touched the curb attempting to parallel park. The trooper said something like go back and park in front of the building. Hitting a curb is a dangerous act and an automatic fail. Trust me I didn't make that mistake again.

When it was time to teach my son I emphasized that he should never hit the curb. If you're a bit too far away you lose a couple of points. If you touch it you fail. He passed first try.

That is a solid looking Jeep. You have several thousand dollars in add on front and rear bumpers with winch, etc. Wait until you get your first Quadratec catalog, just up the limit on your credit card and hang on!!

Enjoy.
