Anyone use these for concealed carry? I was able to shoot a friend's M&P with the talon grips today and really liked it, A LOT. He carries with the talon grips and likes it, isn't bothered by the granulate. Is this typical or is the general consensus that it's too aggressive for a carry gun?

The Talon grips are great. I prefer the rubberized ones on my .40 Shield and I do carry it that way.

I have a different brand on an XDM, if I carry under my tshirt I get scratched up and it tends to catch the shirt. Over the thsirt under my dickies work shirt its gtg.

The granulate have adhered better than the rubberized version for me.

The granulate are a little tough on bare skin for CCW. I used 120 grit sandpaper on them (checking occasionally) until they had the right feel and my shirt wouldn't stick to them.

How long did it take with the 120 grit sandpaper and did it significantly alter the grippiness?

The Talon Granulate grip is about an 80 grit or a medium/course sandpaper. It just depends how you use the gun. I have the Talon Granulate grips on my range only guns. The granulate gives a great non-slip grip, but if I shoot enough, my hand gets a little raw in a few spots. I use the Talon Rubber grips for carry. They give a superior grip over the stock grips, without the extra wear and tear on your clothes, holster, or skin.

How about in less than ideal conditions, blood, sweat, wet, oil etc... How well does the talon rubber grips hold up?

I live in hot, humid Florida. My Shield had a slick stock grip, so I immediately installed a Talon rubber grip on it. This grip gives a far superior, non-slip surface, even when sweating. I would rate the grip as double the hold of the stock grip. However, I haven't tested it in a rain storm.

Think of it this way, when the **** hits the fan and you really need to pull your gun in the heat of the moment, you want all the grip you can get.... Sweaty palms on rubber grips is a no go... Tallon grips in Granulate will give you the grip you need when you need it... IWB Holster from ( N82Tactical ) will keep the grips off your skin and is the most comfortable IWB on the market... IMO.....
