Here are a couple of pics with my Son and Daughter at the range with me today. Most of the time my Daughter will take a pass at the range. But today I was blessed to have her join us. She is 10 and my Son is 12.

The last pic is the both of them shooting .22's. My Son is shooting a Savage MarkII and my Daughter is shooting a Remington 514.

Nicely done, and some nice guns to bring them up with. Will your range allow you to shoot at anything other than paper? I brought my oldest boy up on shooting a gong (that I fashioned from an old oxygen tank) and clay targets. They find it much more exciting when they are doing something other than punching holes in paper. We've now graduated to bowling pins, and I have to admit I enjoy the reactive targets as well.

Here is a target stand I made for the clay targets. It was really simple involving just 3/8" dowels, some pine ferring strips and some clay target holders I found online.

Enjoy those kids! They grow up quickly.

yup there are a bunch of very small animal plates out there as well as paper. Nothing less than 25 yards.
