The Beretta PX4 Storm Compact Carry is an underappreciated pistol. It is Glock 19 size, incredibly durable and reliable, and DA/SA. I prefer DAO or DA/SA to striker fired and there are few modern production options. This is not the ordinary PX4 Storm. The "Carry" version runs through Langdon Tactical for new trigger group / trigger job, slim decocker and slide release, and a few other things. The trigger is fantasic at about 7-8 lbs DA and 3 lbs SA. The rotating barrel makes it a flat shooter and reliable feeder.
I paid full retail, almost $900, for a PX4 about 18 months ago. Found a second in a local shop's "used" cabinet yesterday. In fact, it was NIB with everything, for only $400. Perhaps, the shop did not notice that it is the Carry edition. It's nice to have backup. It came with three magazines, so six total now for range days. The Talon Grip tape that comes with the pistol had not been opened. Applied it at home. That's my only complaint. The factory grip is too slippery.
