My local shop had a flyer sale for 2 weeks with a deal on Blazers. $14 each or $135 for 5,250, man I love em! I didn't have the money to spend on a case, though. That's a good deal too, though hehe just had to mention it.
 
That's a great deal, too. But figure in tax and it's about the same price. And heck, 5,000 should see me through the apocalypse. :D
 
Oh, tax, forgot about that stuff hahah.
 
Forget the tax, I imagine the shipping will drive the price right up.

And I reckon 5K will last me through the Summer, hopefully the Apocalypse
isn't in the Fall! :D

Thanks for the heads up, no tax or shipping on my order.

Compared to what I usually buy Federal 550 for at Wal Mart, I saved 37.24 on the 5000 rounds.

I bought 1500 rounds of this ammo at the last gun show, a brick for me and my two sons. Never had a single issue with them in our 15-22, 597, 10-22 and 522. I believe I paid 17.95 a brick at the show.
 
Can someone help me along here? I've read that using lead nosed rounds in a gun like the 15-22 isn't good for the barrel? In the words of what I read it can 'lead' the barrel up...

Does anyone have any experience in this or care to comment on it?
 
Thanks for the tip...I ordered a case... they just informed me it has shipped out via UPS.... no tax and free shipment. Nice. Lets see how long this will last me...:confused:

Nah, they'll be fine. I went through a bulk pack of Winchester uhh..HV or something, their 500 pack and those were pretty dirty but they all fired. Blazer is cleaner and reliable.

Not Likely....you are going to burn through that 5,000 the same way we burn through ours. Also, we don't know for sure how many .22LR rounds it takes to put down a zombie--we won't know until we have to do it. LOL.

Lead will foul the barrel if you get it hot. If you slow plink you might not have isssues. Wax will not prevent fouling. I dont shoot it because I get the barrel hot and it fouls heavily.
You can get plated for a little bit more.

I just tried ordering and they were going to charge me like $20 or more for shipping. Today is the 15th so I guess I missed the chance.

If there is a special code that needs to be entered please let me know.
 
There was no special code. I guess it ended on the 15th as opposed to running through the 15th.
 
It did say the promotion ended on the 15th. Shame it didn't run THROUGH the 15th. :(

For those that got in, my UPS guy is going to hate me. 40lb weight it says on my tracking info. :D
 
anyone else notice that the blazers seem...."dirtier" than the mini mag? It seems to gunk up my gun alot faster.
 
I notice some grittiness and bittiness to the ammo residue at times. Aside from that, nothing else appears funky.
 
ditto Dobie. I don't own a 15/22 but do have several .22lr rifles and pistols.
mag dumps that heat the barrel up will produce significant fouling with the Blazers. it shoots great though as far as groups.
don't even bother with Remmy .22lr - dirty and unreliable.
Winny SuperX is real good but Winny has jacked the price up a good bit on it. killed my 1st deer w/it, 3 shots 2 in lungs and 1 in the heart from a 6pt that ran out in front of us, my dad and his hunting buddy 'Doc' Owens an old timer that hunted with a dbl bbl 12ga.
my dad (Mdl 70 '06) and 'Doc' didn't even get their guns to their shoulders to fire, I was carrying port arms and shouldered and fired 3 shots quickly. my dad good naturedly ribbed me for wasting ammo.!
