Few movies with a cast like that one and it couldn't be done today, but most of the John Sturges-directed films had excellent casts. Sturges was probably the best "action" movie director of all time... Great Escape, Bad Day at Black Rock, Gunfight at OK Corral, Last Train From Gun Hill, etc.

Just watched it this AM. A favorite of Akira Kurosawa. When he made "The Seven Samurai", his intention was a Japanese Western.
Sixty years now. All the main actors are dead.
