Hi Don,

Great gun. I have a friend of mine that was a sheriff deputy when his office went from revolvers to 5906s. He claimed they were dishwasher safe. Your gun looks to be in very good shape. Did they offer a $10 handpick fee, or did your deal just turn out that well?

I have a question for you. From your comment of "old time memories", were you working when your department transitioned from revolvers to semi-autos? Was it something everyone looked forward to, or was it seen as a bad direction?

I was in LE in the '90's

My department had just gone to the S&W from revolvers.

Most of the officers were very leery at 1st.

But over time (and after zero failures) almost everyone like the auto's better.

At CDNN they do not let you pick them out .. you takes what you get.

But they claim that they clean & inspect every gun and do not sell unless in good to very good condition.

Three of my family have bought these guns and all of us got acceptable guns.

I took mine with me to the range today and enjoyed it.
