Hey everyone. Just joined your excellent forum. About to buy an M&P compact 9mm. Considered others before reaching this decision (Sig P239). Have owned a 686 revolver for twenty years, plus a Colt .45. Enjoy shooting- getting back into it since I moved to Colorado 8 months ago. Even though (as a military officer) I have shot pistols for many years, was never "formally" trained, so taking the NRA Basic Pistol course in a few weeks. Hope to get a concealed carry permit. Will look forward to learning from all of you, and the cameraderie. I work for U.S. Immigration on the civilian side, and I'm getting with some of my ICE colleagues to start a recreational shooting club.
