To be specific, Montross, Virginia. A rural town situated about 40 miles east of Fredericksburg and about 2.5 hrs SSE of DC. I love rural America.
I'm especially glad I found this website. I have a old S&W that I came upon quite by accident a few years ago. I prefer firearms from the pre-war era, but I don't know why. Now I'm anxious to find a Model 27. I enjoy .38 Specials as a round but would prefer a frame with more substance under it, ergo the Model 27. I also have a .357 Magnum Winchester so the common ammo is an extra benefit. I've recently joined a web forum re: hog hunting (TexasBoars.com) and am going on my first hog hunt in a couple of weeks. I retired from the Navy which I dearly loved in '96 (service connected disability but not combat related), and ended up working for a military contractor in DC, and retired from that in June 2008. So now I'm this retired workaholic trying to find something to do with his time. I'm divorced and have two grown kids, my son lives a few blocks away and my daughter lives in Austin, TX.
That's enough about me.
