Hi everybody, my name is Diego, 27 years old, from far, far, down here in South America in a little piece of land called Uruguay.

In the U.S., I've only been to NY and Miami, and hope to go visit a lot more when I got the chance. Such a nice country to live, you are very lucky! :)

Down here... well... Felon-hugging liberal government, no concealed carry permits, lots of restrictions to acquire a firearm and they're trying to impose a lot more. You'd be shocked if I told you some of the measures they'd like to pass (ie: only 3 guns allowed per person!)... :(

Anyway, I'm the proud owner of a beautiful 1988 S&W Model 10:

And I also have a 1990 Mossberg 500 12GA which I restored myself:

I like all guns, but as you probably guessed... I have a thing for old-school firearms, and I specially love shotguns.

I look forward to learn and hope to contribute to this forum. Thank you.
Kind regards,

Diego

Welcome from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA!

Very tough gun laws you have there. I could probably get away with 3 firearms - a short barrel, high capacity shotgun, a sniper rifle (caliber undecided) & a semi-auto pistol with high capacity mags. (Again - caliber undecided as long as it's 9MM, .357 SIG .40 cal. or ,45 cal.) LOL.

Well, a big thank you to all for the warm welcome! :)
I apologise for any grammar mistakes I may have, English is not my native language, please feel free to correct me if I mess up really bad. :)

Welcome from California. Those are some nice guns you have. Good start. Better get out there and get another before they decide to take them all away.

Thank you, sir.
Well... that's certainly what this government wants. And they do not hide it in any way. They blatantly say "civilians shouldn't own firearms, we need to disarm them".
Funnily enough, thousands of people, blinded by their political party fanatism, buy into that, and they actually believe that disarming the law-abiding citizen is going to reduce crime... it's really frustrating. (sorry, don't want to rant, just to paint a picture).

By the way, just some info for you. We are a country with a population of just three million people (yes, 3 million, the whole country), and we rank 8th in guns per capita worldwide.

Welcome from Arizona.
I visited Uruguay some years ago, enjoyed the beef.

Haha, go figure! Not a really "popular" place to come visit! Well, the beef is really good, yes. :D

Well, thank you for the compliments, sir.
Well... Your choices are great, but... with this new tyrannical regulation they want to put out (not signed off yet, we're fighting it):

* Maximum capacity for shotguns: 4+1
* Maximum caliber allowed for semi-auto pistols: 9mm
* Maximum caliber for semi-auto rifles: 22 L.R. (YES, REALLY)
* Any bigger than that should be single-shot or bolt action.

There are quite a few people here who own AR's, .45's, etc. If this law gets approved.. people who own these firearms and want to keep them, would need to "drill the chambers and plug the barrels"...

Also.. if you pass away, the police comes and takes your guns.
If for any reason they decide to not renew your license, the police comes and takes your guns.

Sounds like a nightmare, doesn't it?

I'll keep you posted, wish us luck!

Welcome to the forum. Very nice Model 10 you have there. Very nice indeed.

Thank you, sir.
This revolver belonged to a bank. This bank gave a revolver to each of their top-management employees. Apparently, it sat there on a safe for all these years. I cannot tell if it was even fired or not.

It's a 10-7, AZLxx95 serial. It has its box, paperwork, and the provided cleaning rod unopened. The checkering is flawless and the bluing is rich and deep, a pleasure to watch and hold. I can honestly say I was really lucky to find it. :)
