Hi there!
I've been shooting for 51 years, since taught initially by the Englewood Police Children's Gun Club. Yeah, that's been a while. I have collected 5 screw Smiths and Lugers for years and many other toys, but after a stroke 7 years ago, haven't had much fun at the range. Shooting left handed was annoying enough, but a lot of strength is gone now too. So I decided to go .22 in an effort to still enjoy shooting. Started off with a Ruger Mk3 suppressed, and yesterday added a 15-22 Sport rifle. Even my regular ARs were slapping me around a bit, but this new toy looks to be great fun. Range opens back up Tuesday, and any glitches, I will be sure to ask your good advice on. Read the first 15 pages of the forum already. Oh, and I bought it a red/green holo sight. Gonna be all bench shooting, but I just want to have fun shooting at paper or golf balls again. Thanks for being here. :)

A big welcome from little South Carolina. Bought first gun a year ago after retiring and moving from the Northeast to a gun friendly state. Now I shoot my M&P 9mm for fun and carry a 9mm Shield.

Welcome, and good for you to be determined and back to enjoying the longarm shooting sports. Given how much range time I get these days, you can probably outshoot me :). Enjoy that 15-22!

Welcome to the forum,

Great source for any info/problems/fixes and advice. The peeps on here have helped me immensely and are full of general and specific issues related to the 15-22. Anything you want to ask, someone on here will have an answer ;)

PS
Love the song 'Sugar Magnolia' on of my fav 'Dead' creations.

Glad to see anyone from East TX. I lived the best part of my life there, near Gilmer. Wish I was back, but my wife won't move.

Marshall, TX here. We moved here 15 years ago to get out of the rapidly encroaching leftism that ate Colorado. East Texas is beautiful, with great people.

greetings from Panama City, FL! the main reason I purchased my 15-22 is that nerve damage in my left shoulder and right hand (neuropathy from diabetes, as well as being way too hard on my body lol) made it impossible to fire large caliber rifles. I love this gun; but my wallet hates it! lol enjoy it, and this forum; you will be able to have most every question answered by some very knowledgeable peeps...or some terrific guessers! :)

My rifle shooting is bizarre. I am now left handed, but still very right-eyed. My right shoulder is very prone to dislocate from no muscle tone on that side. So far, I have been shouldering to the right, sighting right, and triggering left. Off a padded bench rest. I'm thinking .22 should be zero recoil, and not hurt that shoulder. Find out tomorrow! :D
