As my log-in name indicates, I've been kicking around this world for a spell--usually with one or more S&Ws in tow. Started with a Model 15 nearly 50 years ago--a five-screw I should never have let escape me (sigh!). In no particular order, I've owned a Model 25, Model 19, two Model 36s (a 2" and a 3") and a Colt Detective Special, just to prove that I'm open-minded. For the past three decades, what may be the world's least beautiful Model 49 (parkerized, Barami Hip Grip) has been my constant companion. I confess I've also dabbled in semi-autos. but at heart I'm an S&W man. It's what I learned on, it's what I trained others on, mostly. They've seen me through a couple of hard chances. I have immense confidence in them, built over many years of experience. I'm delighted to have found and joined the S&W Forum, and, though I'm certainly no expert, I hope I may be able to contribute in some minor way to the conversation.
