Griffin Howe M1C Mount? Need you CMP types

May have came across a M1C mount

Marked "Griffin & Howe INC, New York
Par # 1856549 May 3, 1933"

Side of mount has numbers - 33449XX

Looks to be 7/8" rings

Was wondering if this is indeed what I found in this box of parts, I've seen these listed and sold on auction sites for 1500-2000$

Is that really the going rate for these guys if I do indeed have a true original M1C g&h mount?

Post some pictures, it sounds like you might have a winner there.

The CMP may be able to tell you if they have or had the rifle S/N that matches your mount.

Dave McClain (GCA board member) may be able to help as well. PM me if you'd like contact info for him.

Any help for research. If I can get it back with its rifle I will as it deserves that.

I just sent a link to this thread to a buddy of mine that was on the GCA BOD. I'll see what he says but I like it (though I am by no means an M1C expert).
