First one is a matching 1944 Remington Rand, and i'm going to assume that the frame/slide are original to each other given how closely the finish matches. I do believe that the finish has a strong possibility of being original as well, i'll know for sure when I have it in hand next week. Barrel is a WW2 Colt barrel, and the slide stop is postwar commercial. Everything else is correct.
FOIA letter says it was with the 114th Infantry Regiment, 42nd Infantry division in N.J. Natl. Guard from 1975 until it was sent back to Anniston in 1999. Makes me wonder if it was with the 114th since it was made. Now that would be neat since the 114th saw a lot of action in the European theatre. Too bad i'll never know.
I had an all-original 99%+ Remington Rand in its factory box that I had to sell a few years ago that I've missed ever since, so this one really works for me.

Second gun is a mixmaster 1943 Ithaca with a 1950's hardened Colt slide, very cool that its marked "government model" for the commercial version but is unpolished and parkerized on a USGI gun.
