Grip interchangeability??

<span class="ev_code_BLUE">Howdy folks,I've got a question. Will any of the 'vintage' grips from a #2 ,#3 ,38DA or a 44DA ,fit a round butt 'J' frame. The shape and size seems very close in pics on different grip sites. Curiosity is bugging me.TIA

The .38 Safety/DA grips will fit an I or Improved I frame such as .32 HE, Kit Gun, even an early Chief's Special with the early short grip frame. None of them will fit the late long grip J frame guns, they will be about 1/8" short.
