I have a 681 and a 586. The 681 has hogue mono grips and the 586 has the original target stocks. Both are the same frame. One issue. My hogue grips fit on the 586 better than the 681 and the target stocks won't fit on my 681. I don't think that the grip itself if torqued out of alignment, but the hole at the bottom where the stud goes in the grips doesn't line up on the target grips. This is on my 681. Seems the stud hole needs to be drilled higher. What can you guys say about this?

Is the mainspring in the way of the screw? I have a set of Pachmayr presentation grips that fit my M10-6, but won't fit my M19-3. Both are K frame square butts, but for some reason, the mainspring is in the way of the screw. Maybe you are running into this too? I suppose you could try running a different brand of mainspring to see if it lines up differently inside the grip frame?

It's not the silver circle hitting the spring. It's the stud at the bottom of the grip not lining up with the stud on the target stocks.
