Grip Reccomendations for this 19-4 Round Butt?

I’ve tried a few different grips on my 19-3 but I keep going back to these Hogues.

If you’re looking for something more substantial the Hogue Round-to-Square conversion grips are great as well.

I do like the look of those Hogues a lot. I haven't tired a set of their round butt hardwood grips before, but I have had several sets of the square butt and conversion grips, and always love them. Kinda leaning toward one of thos options currently...

Seems like every time I go looking for grips for a K or N frame revolver, about 90% of the time for square butt frames, all I can find is round butt grips. This time, now that I'm looking for round butt grips, all I can find is loads of square butt grips. Always a challenge, lol!

For the 2.5”, I like the shorter boot grip, magnas with Tyler T, or factory targets, aka bananas. Here’re examples from Ahrends, Eagle, Hogue and S&W.

OP, I have a 19-4 TTT, unfired and I did not like the factory grips. I lucked upon a set of Craig Spegel grips, checkered and finger grooved. They are the best grips I have ever had. I have many beautiful grips, but none fit like these. I constantly search for another set.

You didn't mention if you are looking more for form, function or a combination of both.

Depending on your hand size it is hard to beat the Pachmayr Compac (closed backstrap) as mentioned above, or the Hogue Bantam rubber grips for function. They are also fairly small if carrying concealed may happen.

From the wood standpoint I like the factory RB Target stocks as in post #19 (first image) and #22 (last image). RB Combats are nice too for larger hands.

Several good examples of fancier stocks here too. Good luck in your decision.

I am a big fan of the round butt target grips. They look great and feel great. I have large hands and they fit me pretty good.
I like the round butt combat grip looks also. But the finger grooves don't really fit me well.

I like both the RB targets and the combats. Magnas and a grip adapter ain’t bad either.

FWIW, on adjustable sight 2 1/2” and 3” K frames I like the looks of the combats; on fixed sight 3” revolvers I like the RB targets. But both are great with Magnas and adapters, imo.

Btw, Scout has been a willing enabler of my grips fetish!

ETA: Nice looking Model 19!

UPDATE: So I'm 0 for 2 here on grips... I ordered a set of Hogue Pau Ferro combat conversion grips, and a set of OEM S&W rubber K/L frame round butt grips. Neither fit right, and I don't know why. The Hogue grips can be forced on, but they're just tight enough that I can see a hairline split starting to form at the base slot in the back of the grip. The S&W grips sort of fit, but won't close at the front down at the bottom of the grip frame. Looking at it the fitment of one panel, I can see where the grip settles all the way down onto the frame, and where it noticeably sits proud starting around the strain screw at the front bottom of the grip frame. The question is: Did S&W change the grip frame thickness/contour over time? Are newer K and L frame grips not compatible with older K Frames? If these grip options aren't compatible, what might be aside from Magna style grips?
