I bought a collectible M15 with standard service stocks. I went to remove the stocks and they are stuck to the frame. I tried pushing on a partially removed grip screw, but the threaded bushing just pushed out of the 20 some year old grips. I was thinking about carefully epoxing the bushing in place and trying again.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

A thin knife blade can be inserted between the grip and frame near the locating pin. Use it as a wedge, and don't try to twist the blade. Alternately, I use a thin pin punch inserted through the non-threaded hole at an angle, and tap lightly on the inside of the opposite grip. Either method risks damaging the grip or frame, but with the pin punch, the damage is limited to a concealed part of the grip only.

This one has a color case hardened frame, so if worse comes to worse, the grips are expendable
