Grips for a M67

My wife is unhappy with the rubber grips that came with her M67. She wants the smallest rubber grip available for a square butt K frame. I would appreciate any ideas.

Pachmayr Professional Grippers with open back strap is the smallest I know of for SB

There are not too many smaller options for square butt revolvers. I am not sure what type of rubber grips your Model 67 has, but in general I find that Pachmayrs are bigger than Hogue. The Hogue feels more medium sized. But, Pachmayr does offer the Gripper Professional which also smaller. However, none of these are proper compact models.

Another option is to find an old pair of Uncle Mike's Boot Grips for square butt K-frames. These look like boot grip found on most J-frames, and can make a 4" K-frame very easy to conceal. Unfortunaly they are no longer made, but the Eagle Secrect Service grip is bascially the same design, but is made of wood.

How about a set of standard "Magna Grips" and a tyler "T" grip adapter.

These grips, on my Model 67 No Dash Combat Masterpiece, were designed
by Craig Spegel, made by Butler Creek, and marketed by Uncle Mike.
They can be found, from time to time, on ebay.
The boots, referred to by CCantu357 up above, is basically this
same grip with only 2 finger grooves instead of 3, and obviously
a bit shorter.

Right now we have Gripper Professionals on there and it is too large. Being an older shooter, I have a T Grip for a K frame. I will put that on and see how she likes it. Those Spegel designed grips would be a real find. I have them on various J frames including my 640 Pro. She tried that revolver and thought it fit well but didn't like the recoil. My wife is pretty small and has a proportional hand size.

Is your wife's model 67 a square or round butt? If it's new, it's probably
round. I think they are all round now. My old no-dash is square.

I have smaller hands for a guy and I've long had the early "prerubber" Hogue grips on my 4" duty revolvers (M19-3, M66-1). When I first got them I thought they were the ugliest pieces of **** I'd ever seen. I reluctantly put them on the M19 and test fired it. Lets just say the loads were hotter than .357 SuperVels or later Silvertips and with factory target stocks, it was fire 2, get a new grip on the gun, repeat as necessary.
Amazingly, with the Hogue, I burned through all 6 and found the gun tighter in my grasp than I'd started. I concluded there was some magic in the shape of those grips. (I never went to rubber Hogues... my M66 still wears those grips.)
I realize hands come in different shapes & sizes but I urge you to try Hogue.

I think CCantu is right, I have sets of Uncle Mikes K frame boot grips on a couple k frames and they are thinner and shorter, right at the frame, than any I had tried.here is a photo. Last pair I found on EB they usually run about 45-50 ,new in box, because they are popular and no longer made. They are not the Spegel type those have a covered backstrap and more material on the bottom. good luck Bob

I too have "short and stubby" hands, and Houges are available for immediate use should I decide to take any given Smith out for a day away from the Safe. I have found that I prefer them to Pac's as I have tried them too. YMMV.
