My kids used to ask if I ever watched a TV movie that was in color and I said yes, Clint Eastwood and most of The Duke. Aside from watching baseball & the history channel I've discovered the military channel. Toss in reruns of Dragnet & Adam-12 and getting old isn't so bad!

grew up on a cattle ranch, we didnt have cable tv, often in school my friends would bust my chops over not seeing a certain show...but not one of them owned their own revolver like i did, and none of them could have fired it from their back porch, like i could. none of them could quote shakespeare, s.t. coleridge or louis lamour like i could then...

I expect a lot of people, by no means all of them younger, to disagree with my views. Some of my views are pretty damn unreasonable. As long as they don't actually question my mother's species, it's okay.
It just so happens that I can't stand Katherine Hepburn or The Wizard of Oz, which puts me at odds with quite a few folks. The only part of Titanic I like is the part where Leo teaches the chubby girl how to hawk a loogie over the rail.

When I was a kid we didn't have a TV until I was in high school, No mickey mouse club, Roy Rogers, etc. didn't go to the movies either. Now I watch the western channel, and some old TV programs from the 60's. Don't like the Brady Bunch. I go my own way and like to make smart remarks and tell people what I think even when they don't want to hear it.

Then again you could always sit down and watch some George Carlin re-runs. I don't know who did his writing but 95% of the time he was spot on with is comedy and comments. Frank

This is making me miss "Mystery Science Theater 3000". Loved that show. What they did to Steve Reeves...
How can you not like the Wizard of Oz? (Terrified by the Winged Monkeys, as is a female friend? Confused by the shift from B&W to color? Annoyed at inability to memorize words to catchy songs? Offended by Scarecrow's "some people go both ways" innuendo?) Just curious...
I haven't seen Titanic, having been informed of the plot prior to the film's release.
Why anyone cares about others' tastes in trivial, artificial amusements mystifies me...
